NICKELL, Winston, Gene, 88, of Maineville, OH passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at UC West Chester Hospital. Born January 3, 1936 in Morgan County, KY to Ernest Trumbo and Leona Evelyn (nee: Fairchild) Nickell. Winston served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957 in the Security Agency Department in East Tokyo Japan. On July 30, 1957, he married his wife, Jeanette Sue Chaney and they had been married 67 years, 3 months, and 2 days.

Winston worked at Ford Motor Company for 33 years. He retired from there at the age of 55. He served as Chairman of the Board at Sharefax Credit Union and many other committees for 34 years. His hobby and passion was genealogy.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Billy Ray Nickell and Paul Edward Nickell, and his sister, Helen Fay Nickell Mastin. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette, his three daughters, Machelle Lynn Nickell Ward and spouse, Scott Ward, Debra Jean Nickell (Morgan) Jones and her spouse, Alan Jones, and Patty Ann Nickell Hunter and her spouse, John Hunter, seven grandsons, Nicolas Scott Ward, Justin Michael Ward, Wesley Johnathan Hunter, Cameron Jordan Hunter, Tyler James Morgan, Preston Winston Morgan and Collin Spencer Morgan, and two great grandchildren, Jensen Marie Ward and Ozzy Cole Hunter. He also had many nephews and nieces that he loved and adored.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM with funeral service immediately following, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Interment with military honors will follow in Morrow Cemetery. Reverend Doug Sibcy officiating.
