William "Bill" Clifford Jameson, 79, of Turtlecreek Township, passed away on January 27, 2026 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. William was born September 7, 1946 to Joseph Dwight and Frances Jane Jameson in Middletown, Ohio.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Turtlecreek Township living on the family farm. He attended Lebanon schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. He was active in Track and Cross Country and played the trombone in the Lebanon Marching Band. He attended Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY where he continued with the Marching Band and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in1968. Bill furthered his education at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH with a Master's Degree in Education. Bill was a Business Education teacher at Kings High School until he retired in 1997.
Bill was an Eagle Scout and volunteered for many years as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 57 in Lebanon. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Turtlecreek Township Fire Department and retired as a Captain at Station 3 in 2002 after 21 years of service. Bill also enjoyed volunteering at the National Museum of the US Air Force for many years.
Bill was a lifelong fisherman, hunter, camper, and hiker. He taught his three children the values and enjoyment of living an outdoor life. He enjoyed many trips out west and visiting his children. He loved the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and had a home there for 17 years that he shared with his wife, Dottie Alexrod. Bill had many hobbies and many lifelong friendships.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Anna Axelrod. He is survived by his three children, sons Eric Scott Jameson and Brent Andrew Jameson, and daughter, Katherine Leann Jameson, her partner Mark Allen Fisher, grandson Hendrix William Jameson, Sister Eva Jane Reeder and husband, Hollis Reeder, Niece and husband, Elizabeth and Richard Walkup, Nephew and wife, Mark and Debbie McNeil, stepdaughters Tara Hennings, Kimberly Nahrup, and Lauren Axelrod.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at Hoskins Funeral Home 329 E. Mulberry Street in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Warren County Historical Society 105 S. Broadway Street Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
