Obituary

ANDERSON, Wayne Alan, 63, of Oregonia, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at his residence in Oregonia, OH. Born on January 28, 1958 to Kenneth and Jean (nee: LeBoutillier) Anderson in Bloomington, MN, Wayne graduated from Indiana University School of Music in 1982. Wayne played the double bass for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for 36 years.

Preceded in death by his father. Survived by his mother, Jean Anderson, his wife Katharine (nee: Strenge) Anderson, his three sons, Luke, Jake, and Carl, his two daughters, Mae (Wesley) Werstiuk and Lily (Evan) Schumer, his beloved sister, Carrie (Don) Cameron, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brother-in-laws, nephews, nieces, many friends and his sweet granddaughter, Flossie.

Wayne would want to thank the many chickens that produced eggs for his Oregonia Eggs business. His eggs were enjoyed by many of his colleagues in the symphony

Wayne had a strong Christian faith that allowed him to have hope in the midst of severe suffering. He was confident that Jesus paid for his sins on the cross and died in his place, and so he knew he would be with God the second he left his earthly home. Wayne turned to God's word as a source of peace and rest each day. His calm demeanor through the struggles of ALS were an inspiration to many.
