RUMBARGER, Walter Anson JR, 96, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday May 13, 2021 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born June 29, 1924 in Dayton, OH to Walter Anson and Genevieve (nee: Maginnis) Rumberger SR, he was a proud US Navy WWII Veteran. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Anson was an avid wooden model maker.  Anson retired from Boris Berger Architecture in 1986 after 30 years as an architectural draftsman. Anson loved to travel, was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Football supporter and for those that knew him or ever met him, he was one of the best storytellers you would ever have the privilege of speaking to  Preceded in death by his parents, his son, Walter Anson Rumbarger III and two sisters, Genevieve Merkling and Alice Landis, he is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty (nee: Minnich) Rumbarger of Lebanon, two daughters, Melissa (Roger) Smith of Ft Wayne, IN and Linda (William) Graney of Seattle, WA, one daughter in law, Alicia Rumbarger, eight grandchildren, Carl, Erica, Ross, Pam, Charles, David, Alan, and Bryan and six great grandchildren, Brooke, Jaxson, Levi, Avonelle, Carlei, and Kyleigh. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 6-8PM at the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7118 Dutchland Parkway, Middletown, OH 45044. Bishop David Robertson presiding.
