Virgil G. Hicks

HICKS, Virgil George, 85, of Lebanon passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. Born on April 15, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH. He was the son of Virgil David Hicks Jr and Helen Louise (nee: Shuck) Hicks. After a varied working career, he retired as a greeter at WalMart in 2020. He attended the Community Church and was a member of the Countryside YMCA where he enjoyed playing Euchre with a group of other members. He was a simple soul who absolutely adored children and children adored him.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Edward Hicks and sisters, Helen Warden and Cynthia Light. He is survived by his sisters, Kay (Tim) Deininger and Mary (Mark) Feie, many nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Visitation, Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10 AM until 12 Noon, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon with a short service beginning at noon.
