Treva Ruth (nee: Scott) Thompson, 91, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Otterbein in Lebanon. Born on May 1, 1934 to William and Gertrude (nee: Coomer) Scott in South Lebanon, OH. A loving mother with two surviving children, Brent Eugene Soale of Camden, OH and Joni Lynn Soale of Lebanon, OH, one grandson Brandon Soale son of Brent. Married to Howard Soale and later married to James Thompson. A loving sister with three surviving sisters, Darlene Lamb of Waynesville, OH, Joyce Winans of Lebanon, OH and Alice Brandenburg of Buna, Texas. There are 2 surviving brothers, Marvin Scott of Peebles, OH and Gary Scott of Waynesville, OH, five brothers preceded her in death, William, Elwin Gerald, Arvie, Don and Dwight Lee.

Treva retired as a Bookkeeper from the Warren County Mental Health Center in 1996. A member of the Warren County Mental Health Board, Friends in Action and a member of the American Business Woman, she was also an artist and a published author of 10 books. After retiring she has resided with her daughter Joni. Treva was a woman of great faith and her books reflect how strong her faith was as a driving force in her life.  Treva was a woman of few spoken words, but had wisdom beyond her years.  Treva loved to laugh and enjoyed sitting on the patio admiring the flower garden.  Treva will be dearly missed by those who had the honor to get to know her.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, with a service at 12:00 PM, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Pastor Dale Scott officiating.  Interment will follow in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Hour of Power .
