Thomas W Carter passed suddenly on April 10, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Carter, children Todd Carter (Elizabeth), Christy Turner (Trent), and Allison Elam (Michael). His grandchildren Thomas Turner, Abigail Linton (Micah), Whitney Ramey (Zachary), Grant Turner, Brett Elam, Emily Carter, Carter Elam, Jenna Turner, and Paige Carter. His great-grandchildren Dylan and Ty Ramey, as well as his brothers David Carter (Linda), sisters Becky Hester (Larry), and Debbie Hitch (Gene), along with his brother-in-law Robert Neu.
He is preceded in death by his parents Vola and Norma Jo Carter. Tom was a family man through and through.
He lived his life serving others and took great pride in the businesses he built, both Lebanon Electric and Middletown Electric. He loved Sunday night football, family dinners, spending time at the beach, and especially when old friends would stop by the shop to visit. He was business-minded from an early age, and continued working up until his passing. He will be remembered by his giving nature, humility, and overwhelming generosity and compassion towards anyone he met. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 9AM -10:30AM, with services beginning at 10:30AM, all at Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Interment will take place Monday, April 18, 2022 at 12PM NOON in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Rev. Peter Larson to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ohio Epilepsy Foundation, 120 W 2nd St Suite 425, Dayton, OH 45402 and/or Miracle League Field of Dayton, C/O Coffman YMCA, 88 Remick Blvd Springboro, OH 45066. Arrangements made by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
