THOMAS ROBERT HENDERSON, age 58, known as Tom or Tommy to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was born on September 27, 1966 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Tom graduated from Lebanon High School – Class of 1984. He played basketball and baseball as a Lebanon Warrior. During high school, he was a summer umpire for the City of Lebanon Youth T-ball Program and also worked part-time at Corwin's IGA. After graduation he worked at Camargo Cadillac, Amburgy & Sons Construction, and Pyramid Builders. He also played summer softball - he was one of three generations playing on the same team! In 1992, he went to South Carolina to visit his sister, Stacey, and decided to stay. He resided in Ladson, South Carolina at the time of his death. He was employed for 32 years by Wetzel Griffith, owner of Gutter Masters in Ladson, South Carolina.
Tom leaves behind his mother Lynn Russell (Henderson) Wood, son Logan Thomas (Ashley) Henderson; daughter Makenzi Aiden Henderson and her mother, Christi Lanier; grandchildren Olive Rae Henderson and Silas Logan Henderson; sisters Stacey Henderson (Rodney) Griffith and Mandi Henderson Carley ; nephew Austin Griffith; uncles Lee Russell and Larry (Karen) Henderson; step-mother Melinda Henderson; step-brothers Brent Brashear and Brian Brashear; and many other blended family members; his boss Wetzel (Margaret) Griffith. Also, many long-time friends in Ladson, South Carolina and long-time friends from Lebanon High School and his hometown.
He is predeceased in death by his father Terry Henderson, stepfather Myron Wood, and grandparents Bob and Alberta Henderson, Marty "Gram" Brown, and Al and Charlotte Russell.
Tommy always loved working on and having nice cars, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved playing golf. He loved the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cincinnati Reds, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. You can honor his memory by showing your support for these teams.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral, Lebanon, Ohio.
