Theresa Ann
Scott
Oct 21, 1951 — Nov 17, 2025
Lebanon
SCOTT, Theresa Ann (née Williams), 74, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery. Born October 21, 1951, in Cincinnati, OH, to George and Nahlia (née Burns) Williams, she was a 1970 graduate of Lebanon High School.
Theresa moved to Lebanon in the 5th grade when her father's career as a harness horse driver brought the family to the area. Before that, she attended Tawanda and Elmwood Place Elementary Schools. She went on to graduate from Lebanon High School in 1970.
For more than 40 years, Theresa dedicated her career to the City of Lebanon, serving in the planning and development department. She also took notes for both City Council and Planning Commission meetings. She was known for her commitment to responsible growth and her deep love for the community she served.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Francis "Skeetie," Ronnie, and Georgie Williams. She is survived by her son, Andrew (Stephanie Meyers) Scott; her daughters, Krista (Roland) Howard and Tara (TJ Peterson) Scott; her sister, Kathi Campbell; her sisters, Rita (Bill) Long, Donna Williams, and Diane Hartsook; her grandchildren, Tarras Peterson II, Reid Scott, and Jaxon Sheets; and her beloved best friend and granddog, Sookie.
To her many nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as "Favorite Aunt Theresa." Among them, she shared an especially close bond with her special niece, Deja Williams, who held a uniquely cherished place in her life.
Theresa never truly met a stranger, and sometimes that meant an ordinary task turned into a whole day event. She always seemed to have a thoughtful gift for anyone, for almost any situation, brightening the day of friends, family, and even those she had just met. Her warm, welcoming spirit made everyone feel like family from the moment she met them.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Tara and Andrew Scott.
