Theresa Elizabeth Mingyuan Olding, beautiful daughter and a true gift of God, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 1, 2026, surrounded by family and her pastors.
Today, we are confident that Theresa is safe and secure in Heaven and that she is happily content with her grandparents, John and Christa Olding, her Great Uncle Tom Morgan, and her childhood friend, Emilie Olsen.
Born on January 6, 2005, in Shaoyang, in the Hunan Province of China and born in the hearts of her parents, John and Christine Olding. Theresa came home to a loving family with great grandparents, grandparents, and LOTS of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Theresa realized her love of music while learning the violin from age 5, which she quickly became proficient. She later picked up the guitar and was self-taught. Music was always one of her safe spaces. Late night drives with music and daytime drives with the windows down became one of her favorite pastimes. Theresa loved to express herself through artistry including pencil art, crocheting, watercolor, poetry, journaling, and songwriting. Theresa also loved to read, especially her Bible.
Theresa loved to run and was part of a close-knit group with the Lebanon Track and Field and Cross Country teams. She loved rock climbing and adventuring with “herboys,” Michael and Jack. She enjoyed hiking and anything having to do with nature. She also became quite the indoor gardener and filled her apartment with plants of all varieties.
Theresa worked at Broadway Bagels and Coffeehouse, Greenhouse Café and most recently as a Barista for Moonflower Coffee Collective in Sharonville. She loved everyone she worked with, developed wonderful friendships, and brought light to those she encountered.
Theresa loved spending time with the LPC Youth Group. She was able to take several mission trips, served as a Crew Leader for Vacation Bible School and always helped with the rummage sale. Theresa loved serving others and was seldom the center of attention but was always present for her friends that she loved dearly.
Theresa is survived by her parents, John and Christine Olding, her grandparents,Michael and Rhea Vezmar, her Uncle John (Diane) Vezmar, cousins (“her boys”),Michael and Jack Vezmar, her Uncle Tom (Linda) Olding, Uncle Mike (Diane) Olding,Aunt Cathy (Kenny) McFarland, Aunt Patty (Ed) Williams, Uncle Tim (Amy) Olding,Uncle Joe (Sally) Olding, Aunt Mary Telinda, Aunt Lisa (Doug) Lusby, Uncle Gerry(Sandra) Olding, Aunt Susie (Kenny) Knowles, Aunt Cyndi (Ronnell) Mapp, MANY cousins and many loving extended family members and friends, and of course, her four-legged family members, Juzo, Dottie, Max and Iroh.
