SHELTON, Teddy Truman ("Ted"), age 88, of Morrow, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at his home. Born July 16, 1937 in Clinton County, OH to Kenneth and Frances (nee: Reeder) Shelton, he served in the US Army in Berlin during the building of the Berlin Wall. He worked at the Continental Can Company for many years, farmed in Warren County, and remodeled homes. He was also a longtime member of the Blanchester Community Church and Blanchester American Legion Post 179.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Matthew Lucas Shelton, his brother Paul Shelton and his sisters, Rolline and Pam. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sylvia (nee: Brown) Shelton, his sons, Sky Dean Shelton, Teddy Shelton, Warren Shelton, Marcus Shelton, Seth Shelton and Silas Shelton, his brothers, Thomas Shelton, Bob Shelton and Benjamin Shelton, his sister Beulah Miller, sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at 1 PM at Edwardsville Cemetery. Arrangements by the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home in Morrow. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to any local American Legion Post in Teddy's name.
