Sylvia Ann Potor, (1936-2024), beloved daughter, sister and aunt, the youngest in her family of ten brothers and sisters, went home to be with them in God's heaven on March 14, 2024.  Sylvia was born on October 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Florea Gligor Potor and Silvia (Moldovan) Potor.  She was preceded in death by her nine siblings, Olivia Marie (John) Indrutz, Emiil Potor, Millie Theresa (James) Morley, Mary Elizabeth Potor, Victoria Martha (Leonard, Jr.) Morey, Emil Florean (Barbara) Potor, Cornelia Clare Potor, Augustine Thomas (Judith) Potor and Theodore Philip Potor.  Sylvia grew up in Anderson, IN and attended grades K-12 at St.Mary's Catholic School and High School. She began a career in banking and then moved to California followed by a move to Indianapolis, IN, where she retired after a long career at Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Indiana.  She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Indianapolis and an active member there of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Aunt Sylvia is remembered with love by several generations of nephews and nieces for always bringing the fun to any event or gathering, reminiscent of her high school days where she was social chairman of her high school senior class. Always looking to help others, she brought a smile and can-do attitude to every task. Her passing marks the close of her generation in the family, but her generation's spirit and faith live on in the present generations.  Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.  And let perpetual light shine upon her.  May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.  Amen.

Services will be on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 3105 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30AM.

The burial of her urn is scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2024, 12:00 Noon at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson, Indiana.
