Sylvester John Rapp, 89, of Maineville, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Venetian Gardens in Loveland. Born on September 1, 1934 to Richard and Alma (nee: Witt) Rapp in Blue Ash, OH, Sylvester was a US Army Veteran. He always enjoyed raising any type of birds; including homing pigeons and chickens. He loved all animals and enjoyed feeding stray cats and any other animal that visited his home.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beatrice Rapp and two brothers, Melvin Rapp and Paul Rapp.

He is survived by his son, John (Diana) Rapp of Blanchester, one sister, Ruth Nicely, three grandchildren, Jaime R. (Jeff) Wiley, Brent D. Rapp and Chelsea A. (Justin) Gordon and two great-grandchildren, Payton R. Perry and Beckett J. Rapp.

Visitation, Friday, October 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery.
