Stephen Ray
Lowe
Aug 12, 1949 — Nov 3, 2025
Lebanon
Stephen Ray Lowe, age 76, born on August 12, 1949 in Dayton, OH passed peacefully to his eternal resting place on November 3, 2025 at Bethesda North Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
"Skip" as he was affectionately known was born to Oliver Stephen and Dortha Lou (Griswold). Skip was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Suzette M. (nee: Werner) Lowe, his siblings Gordon E Musser, Linda K Paxton and K Michael Lowe. Survivors include his son, Shane (Donna) Lowe, his daughter, Erin Domoe and his six grandchildren, Alexander Wood, Reid Lowe, Anna Lowe, Jacob Lowe, Ella Domoe and Piper Domoe. His memory further lives on with his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends too many to list.
Skip grew up in Lebanon, OH where he established life-long roots. Skip grew up in a close-knit family with his parents and siblings along with his grandparents and family farm. That kinship laid the foundation for the man we all knew him to be. Skip's career started at age 7 as a paperboy and expanded to include Kroger stock boy, managing and owning the family trucking company Royal Motor Express, selling cars at Bob Pulte and working as a mortgage broker at Fifth Third Bank. As a testament to Skip's character, he maintained friendships from every step in his life.
While successful in all of his professional endeavors, Skip was beloved for his dedication to Suzette "Sue" and his "off the diamond" achievements. He breathed life into Sue's dreams of remodeling their historic home by themselves. He was an excellent woodworker brought to life by Sue's imagination; many of his creations are still treasured today. Skip was an outstanding athlete in his own right and was an avid fan of all sports but particularly baseball. He coached a myriad of sports while being ever present for Shane and Erin. He never missed a practice, recital or family gathering. If you had the chance to throw cards with Skip, take comfort in knowing we all lost to him as well.
Skip left an indelible impression on everyone he met. There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are for the many memories we can attribute to Skip.
A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, December 7 from 2-4p immediately followed by a funeral service from 4-5p, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon, OH. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are requested to Hospice of Cincinnati.
