Obituary

Stephen Douglas Davis (Steve), 55, of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Jackson, Wyoming as the result of an accident. Born on April 18, 1967, to Kenneth and Linda (nee: Croyle) Davis in East Liverpool, Ohio.  Steve was a 1985 graduate of Northmont High School where he played for the Bolts baseball team throughout his high school career.

Steve attended Wright State University and obtained his bachelor's degree in accounting in 1989, his CPA in 1992 and an MBA from Xavier University in 1997. Steve was a respected accountant and the Director of Accounting for Standard Textile in Cincinnati for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jane (nee: Crowley) Davis and son Bryce of Lebanon, his parents, Kenneth and Linda Davis, brother Michael (Peggy Burke) Davis of Englewood, and sister Sherri (Kenn) Daily of Englewood and three beloved nephew and nieces, Brandon Good of Fairborn, Brittany Good of Englewood, and Ashley Davis of Cincinnati.

Steve was a devoted Methodist and was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church, who spent countless hours volunteering.  He was a Little League Baseball coach for many years and most recently volunteered for Lebanon's October Fest. He led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that he would not tackle. Steve was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt for a friend.  He frequently put others first and was fun loving and outgoing. Steve was an avid lover of the outdoors and he and his family always look for opportunities to enjoy the serene beauty of nature. When you think of Steve, celebrate the good memories you have of him, remembering that life is short and should be lived to the fullest.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 1, 2022, from 2-4 PM with a Celebration of Life service celebrating Steve immediately following, at the Lebanon United Methodist Church.   Reverend Steve Cramer officiating. Memorial donations requested to Tunnels to Towers, to the American Heart Association and/ or to Miller Ecological Park for a bench/tree to be donated in Steve's name.

Arrangements by the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
