Ronald Lee Coomer

COOMER, Ronald Lee, 83, of Pleasant Plain, OH, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Born January 11, 1943, in Morrow, OH, to Ray Alexander and Pauline (nee: Lynch) Coomer, he was a 1961 graduate of Little Miami High School.

A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Ron was a devoted member of Morrow Baptist Church. A true jack of all trades, Ron worked for himself most of his life, taking on any challenge that came his way. Other than spending time with his family, Ron enjoyed metal detecting, hang gliding, gold prospecting in Arizona, fishing and flying Ultra Lights.

Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Glenn Coomer, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roberta (nee: Precht) Coomer; two sons, Mark (Violeta) Coomer and Brian (Wendy) Coomer; daughter, Ronda (Kenneth) Opalka; and four grandchildren, Taylor Opalka, Colton Coomer, Caileigh Coomer and Gabriel Opalka.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Morrow Baptist Church, 5876 US 22, Morrow, OH 45152. Pastor Jeffrey Bryan will officiate. Interment will follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Tunnels to Towers. Arrangements are by Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow.
