Roger Eldon Retallick, 76, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at his residence. Born on January 5, 1948 to William and Hazel (nee: Clark) Retallick in Dayton, OH, Roger graduated from Lebanon High School in 1966 and was a member of the Army National Guard from 1967-1974. He retired from the State of Ohio Department of Transportation.

Roger enjoyed woodworking, completing complex puzzles and bird watching. Prior to his retirement, he loved working with his horses, Rex and Abe.  He spent hundreds of hours researching the genealogical history of all his family and developing the family tree.  Within the tree he collected supporting documents and historical images of many of the members.

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dean Retallick, father-in-law, Charles Sherod and brother-in-law, Thomas Sherod. He is survived by his wife, Darlene (nee: Sherod) Retallick, his children, Tina Retallick, Richard Retallick, Tami (Shane) Sibcy, Randy (Erica) Retallick, his mother-in-law, Dorothy Sherod, sister-in-law, Trina Sherod, grandchildren, Derek Justus, Mark Justus, Darryl (Abby) Retallick, Bryan (Maegan) Burns, Tiffany (Thomas) Stamper, Brittany Burns, Aaron Retallick, Brandi (Cameron) Ruddock, Matthew Retallick, Brianna Ruddock, Brandon Ruddock, Sara (Aaron) Alsip and Rachel Vencill and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation, Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM with a service immediately following at 11:00 AM, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
