JOHNSON, Roger Donald (83) of Lebanon, Ohio passed away, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Tapestry Senior Living in Springboro.

He was born on August 27, 1939 in Warren County, OH to James and Magnolia (nee: Womack) Johnson. Roger was a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School, later serving in the United States Navy on the USS Midway. Following several years with Texas Eastern, he became a successful Realtor and opened his brokerage, Johnson Realtors in Lebanon. He served as President of the Warren County Board of Realtors as well as in other leadership roles. Roger was an Ohio licensed certified appraiser. As a real estate developer in Warren County, he developed Wooded Creek, Marjean Estates and Hiding Place, all of Lebanon and Briarwood of Morrow.

Roger loved serving as a Director for Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International founded by Demos Shakarian. Johnson organized and led annual events for businessmen for more than forty years.

Known as a "church-builder", Roger was instrumental in establishing the vision and building of the Kings Point Church of God as well as the Rivers Edge Campground, Morrow. In 1986, he and his wife, Sue, founded The Praise and Worship Center located in Lebanon.

Roger's passion was his family. He is survived by his daughters, Michele Holley, Angela (Rev. Lindsey) Smith and Melonie (Rev. Robert) Metz; sister, Sharon (James) Hager; grandchildren, Erika James, Joshua Holley, Roger Smith, Beau Smith, Abrianna Smith, Bethany Philipp, Ashton Metz, Colton Metz, Cody Metz, Brandon Metz, and Sarah Metz; great grandchildren Sky Holley, Ocean Holley, Khori James, Layden Johnson, Liyonah Johnson, Judah Philipp, Ezra Philipp, Warren Smith and Sutton Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Sue (nee: Amburgy) Johnson; brothers, James Johnson and Jack Johnson; sisters, Bernice Crider and Novella Combs; son-in-law, Dr. Eric Holley.

Visitation will be held at Kings Point Church of God (5600 St. Rt. 48, Maineville) on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 3:30-5:30pm followed by the Celebration of Life service at 5:30pm. Burial will be Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10:00am at the Lebanon Cemetery.
