Robert "Bob" Hopkins Short of Morrow, Ohio, died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 84 years of age. Born
on March 24, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Buford B. Short and Myrtle S. Short (née Henry).

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Barbara A. Howard.

Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jerri A. Short, his daughter, Jane A. Short and his son, Kyle E.
Short (Kristen); three grandchildren, Everett R. Short, Lydia R. Short, and Simon A. Short; two nephews,
Mark Howard (Lori) and Gary Howard (Tammy); one niece, Beth Howard Livingston (David) and
special family friend, Beth Caldwell Tharp.

Bob was a graduate of Morrow High School, Class of 1955. After high school, Bob was drafted into the
United States Army serving two years. He always had fond memories of his time spent in the service.
Upon returning home, Bob worked on the railroad before finally settling into his life's work of driving a
milk truck. First, working for George Mengle Company and then, Thad Hollon Trucking, Inc. Bob
especially enjoyed the people he met on his milk truck route throughout southern Ohio.

Bob was a volunteer firefighter for the Morrow Fire Department, and a member of both the Ohio Masonic
Morrow Lodge #265 and Scottish Rite Morrow Chapter.

Bob never met a stranger. He loved to talk to people, easily made friends, and relished nothing more than
sitting around a table with a group of men and a cup of coffee. He was an avid sports fan and found much
joy (and a little sorrow at times) rooting for Ohio State, the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati
Bengals and Reds. He enjoyed listening to WLW, especially the trucking Bozo, ice cream, many dogs (in
particular his one eyed pug, Lottie), napping, keeping his vehicles clean, yard work and spending time
with his family. He was always enthusiastic about visiting his grandchildren in North Manchester,
Indiana and had many happy memories at the northern Short annex.

Due to COVID, a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
