Robert "Bob" Gibson Curran, age 80, of Blanchester, passed away on April 18, 2022 in Montgomery, Ohio surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Glendale on June 28, 1941, the son of the late Robert Curran and Blanche Dory. Bob is survived by his wife Donna Curran, his highschool sweetheart, whom he married on August 26, 1961. They were married for 60 years. Together they built a life and had three children: Kim (Mike) Tuggle of Lebanon, Bobby Curran of Blanchester, and Kevin Curran of Pleasant Plain. Also left to treasure his memory are his eight grandchildren: Michael, Taylor, Greg, and Shannon Tuggle, Courtney, Kelsey, Colleen, and Madelyn Curran. He had five great grandchildren whom he cherished. Bob was a graduate of Little Miami High School where he enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball. He earned his Undergraduate Degree in teaching from Wilmington College and his Masters Degree in education from Xavier University. Bob retired as assistant superintendent of Little Miami Schools. He owned an antique shop in Loveland. Bob served 32 years as Harlan township trustee. He was a very active member in the Butlerville United Methodist Church. He loved swimming in his pool, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, watching sports, hunting, fishing, and camping. Bob was very intelligent, and such an amazing teacher. He touched many lives and left a positive impact on his community. He lived a rich, fulfilling life with his wife Donna, whom he adored.
Visitation, Friday, April 22, 2022 from 4 PM until 7 PM with a funeral service immediately following, all at the Vale Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Reverend Scott Meeker officiating. Graveside Committal will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10 AM in Edwardsville Cemetery. Memorial donations are requested to either the Butlerville United Methodist Church or to Harlan Township Fire Department.
