Richard (Mike) Hogel, age 62 passed away on June 9, 2026. He was born January 14, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Richard and Patricia (nee: McKinney) Hogel. A devoted husband, loving father and adoring grandfather, nothing gave him greater pleasure than spending time with his family and friends.
After graduating from Northwest High School, Mike spent the majority of his adult life in the autobody industry where he took great pride in restoring vehicles to their former glory. When he wasn’t working, he loved riding his Harley, camping, spending time with family and friends and riding ATVs and UTVs. If it had wheels he was riding it!
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Tina Hays.
He is survived by his wife Jonnie (nee: Allen), daughters Angela (John) Hannahs and Tabitha (Kevin Lewis) Hogel, son Michael (Callie) Hogel and bonus son Randy (Heather) Dyer. He also leaves behind his precious grandchildren Austin, Ryan and Evan Hannahs; Bryonna and Kingsley Hogel; Makenna Lewis, Madison and MJ Hogel and Abigail and Landen Dyer and great-grandaughter Kora Hannahs. Also surviving are his brothers Joseph (Pat) Hogel and Dennis (Tina) Hogel, sister Deborah Spencer and nieces Elizabeth (Bill) Goetz, Jennifer (Brandon) Kuhlenberg and Gabby (Meka) Richardson as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation, Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, 329 East Mulberry Street, Lebanon, OH 45036. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 pm with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating.
Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery on Hunter Street in Lebanon, OH followed by a fellowship gathering at his home – 1449 Cook Road, Lebanon, OH 45036.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lebanon Food Pantry, 190 New St, Lebanon, OH 45036 or to Warren County Humane Association, 230 Cook Road, Lebanon, OH 45036.
