Richard "Dick"
Earl Cragwall
Dec 17, 1946 — Feb 29, 2024
CRAGWALL, Richard "Dick" Earl, 77, of Union Township, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his home. Born December 17, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH to Robert G. and Louise M. (nee: Brinkman) Cragwall, he was a 1964 graduate of Reading High School. Dick was a dedicated father who worked hard to support a large family without complaints. He enjoyed gardening and loved to tap maple trees and do anything outdoors. The stone structures around his home were handmade. Dick was a tinkerer, a jack of all trades. If something needed fixed, he could fix it. As a longtime truck driver for Conway Central Express, he considered himself a professional driver (so we hope you stayed out of his way!). He rebuilt muscle cars with his sons, nobody was ever bored! He stopped to help strangers in broken down cars. Dick loved his family and spending time with his grandkids, it always put a smile on his face, and on theirs! He attended sporting and music events to support the children in his life. He filled his own home with music, and inspired others. He and his boys served in the military. Dick will be deeply missed, and his and Cathy's home of 47 years will always hold fond memories for the family they built.
Preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Teresa Cragwall, his son, Chawn Cragwall, his brother, William Cragwall and a sister, Betty Lou Blaker, he is survived by his four sons, Carl Cragwall of Georgetown, OH, Michael (Sarah) Cragwall of Jeffersonville, IN, Thomas (Peggy) Jennings of Bradington, KY and Destry (Melissa ) Carrier of Mason, OH two daughters, Misty (James) Jones of Batesville, IN and Rebecca (Mick) Flynn of Mason, OH, daughter in law, Teri Cragwall, two brothers, Robert and John Cragwall, two sisters, Joyce Brady and Beverly Walsh, 15 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren and one on the way.
