Preston “Dale” Groppenbacher, 73, of Pleasant Plain, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Cedarview Nursing Home. Born on June 27, 1953 to Preston H. and Mildred (nee: Dykes) Groppenbacher in Cincinnati, OH, Dale enjoyed spending time on the golf course and found great satisfaction in rehabbing houses, taking pride in transforming them through hard work and dedication.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Roy Whitaker and one sister, Lois Brady.
He is survived by his two brothers, Paul Groppenbacher and Roger Whitaker several nieces, nephews and extended family. .
Visitation, Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with a funeral immediately following at 11:00 AM, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Morrow Cemetery.
