Prestle Dean McFerron, 80, of Maineville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his residence. Born July 8, 1942 in Mt Vernon, KY to Alma (nee: Robbins) McFerron, he was a machine operator for many years working at the Harris Company and then retiring form Blackhawk Industries in 2005. An avid outdoorsman, Prestle enjoyed hunting and fishing in his off time. Preceded in death by his mother, his son, Kenny McFerron, his daughter, Sheila McCallister, and his sister, Irene Ott. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Velma (nee: Abney) McFerron, his two sons, Windell (Bobbie) McFerron of Maineville and Randy (Dawn) McFerron of Lebanon, his daughter, Vickie (Mike) Williams of Cincinnati, his brothers, Chester (Janie) Robbins of Broadhead, KY, Denver (Sharon) Robbins of Mt Vernon, KY and Jimmy Robbins of Mt Vernon, KY, his sister, Linda (Gerald) Lutrell of Elkhart, IN, 11 grandchildren, Amanda, Sheena, Samantha, Kammie, Scott, Barbie, Molly, Kenny Jr, Cody, Shayla, and Angel and many great grandchildren. Visitation, Monday November 21, 2022 from 10 AM until 12 Noon , with funeral service immediately following, all at the Vale Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Reverend Mike Amburgy officiating. Interment follows in Maineville Cemetery.
