Peter Michael
Ehrlich
Oct 4, 1962 — Oct 26, 2021
EHRLICH, Peter Michael, 59, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born on October 4, 1962 to Robert Lee and Janice Elaine (nee: Eagon) Ehrlich in Greeley, CO, Pete and his wife, Jamie, moved to the Lebanon area in 1989 as missionaries. Pete was a Campus Minister at the University of Cincinnati through CRU-Athletes in Action for over 30 years, mentoring many young athletes on their walk with Christ. In recent years, he was known to many as "Coach Pete," coaching girls volleyball at Elevation Volleyball Club and CHCA, and boys volleyball at Bishop Fenwick. In 2021, Coach Pete helped lead the Fenwick Falcons Boys Volleyball team to the Division II State Championship. Pete was known for his strong faith in Jesus, which he shared through his outgoing, warm, and often silly personality that could make anyone feel welcome. Throughout his journey with ALS, Pete often shared "I have great hope... I will be dancing, singing, and playing volleyball again. There is great hope in Jesus!". While he was a mentor, coach, and friend to all, Pete will be most remembered as a beloved, dedicated, and supportive husband and father who deeply loved his family.
He is survived by his parents, his loving wife, Jamie (nee: Shields) Ehrlich, three sons, Dillon (Zoe) Ehrlich of Phoenix, AZ, Vance (Kristina) Ehrlich of Fairfield, OH, Cade Ehrlich of Lebanon, one daughter, Amanda (Aaron) Abbott of Lebanon, two brothers, Steven (Laura) Ehrlich of Eaton, CO, Larry (Michelle) Ehrlich of Greeley, CO, one sister, Susan Khoshnevis of Greeley, CO and four grandchildren, Camden, August and Jagger Ehrlich and Archer Abbott. Pete was also the cherished son-in-law of Joseph and Sue Shields, and brother-in-law of Joe of Parshall, CO.
