BEGLEY, Pearl Elizabeth (nee: Darghty), 81, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Optimized Senior Living in Lebanon,  Ohio. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lloyd and Mary (nee: Owen) Darghty, she was a loving wife and mother.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael Begley, 4 siblings, Jim of California, Harold of Cincinnati, Doris Robinson and JoAnn Kimbler both of Kentucky.

Pearl is survived by her three sons, John Begley of Wilmington, Ohio, Robert Begley of Morrow, Ohio, and Ronald Begley of Lebanon, Ohio, her daughter, Kathleen (Andre) Gilyard of Milford, Ohio, her sisters, Loretta Jacobs and Betty Pratt, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pearl was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. She sang in the choir and was a gifted soloist at several churches over the years where she also taught many children about Jesus and His love for them.

Pearl was a wonderful cook and loved working with her hands excelling in knitting,  crocheting, quilting, and sewing. She would often make quilts, dolls and teddy bears and donate them to charities. Pearl also loved to play games with her family, work puzzles, read and was a budding pianist before her illness.

Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2026 from 11 AM until 1 PM with funeral service immediately following, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon, Ohio. Reverend Edward Barclay of the First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio will be officiating.

Interment follows in Lebanon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Pearl's dear nephew and family, of whom she was so proud, and who are missionaries to Calgary,  Alberta,  Canada.
