Paula Anne (nee: Schmelzle) Arascunaga, 70, of Mason and formerly of Oxford, CT, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Central Parke Assisted Living in Mason. Born on April 21, 1955 to Carl and Anne (nee: Sloan) Schmelzle in Philadelphia, PA, Paula enjoyed working around her home in her garden. She enjoyed reading, crafts and being with her friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Arascunaga, Jr. She is survived by her son, Joseph (Rebecca) Arascunaga of Lebanon, her sister, Karan Hoyt of Oxford, CT and three grandchildren, Hugo, Veda and Soleia Arascunaga.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
