Nelmie F.
Jenkins
Jan 21, 1937 — Nov 11, 2020
JENKINS, Nelmie F. (nee: Williams), 83, of Morrow passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Otterbein Lebanon. Born on January 21, 1937 in Salyersville, KY the daughter of Everett Ray and Ola (nee: Brown) Williams. Nelmie was a 1956 graduate of Kings Mills High School where she went on to become a school secretary before becoming a fulltime homemaker and mother.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, Will Jenkins, her daughter, Kimberli (Matthew) Layer of Morrow, her grandson, Jaden (Holly) Sempsrott of Maineville, special family friend, David Cawdrey, sister, Carolyn Sue Jones, brother, Alvin Williams and extended family and friends.
Nelmie was a dedicated wife, a loving, giving mother and an extra special nurturing grandmother. She never met a stranger and will forever be remembered as outgoing, petite and sassy. While Alzheimer's disease may have robbed her of some memories, it did not take away her spunky spirit. An avid reader, a wonderful cook, Nelmie most greatly enjoyed being outdoors to admire all of Mother Nature especially hummingbirds and flowers.
Her family will forever miss her but cherishes wonderful memories of the beautiful person Nelmie was both inside and out and are grateful for all the love and care she gave them in small and large ways. May the last day she was with us be the way she is always thought of, warm and sunny.
A private graveside service will be held at Lebanon Cemetery at the family's convenience. Memorials requested to the American Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
