PURSLEY, Miriam Elizabeth "Liz" (nee: Cowan), 94, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Otterbein in Lebanon. Born on April 10, 1926 to Walter and Hilda (nee: Simpson) Cowan, Sr. in Lebanon, OH, Liz was a lifelong resident of Warren County and worked as an office bookkeeper for Keeler and Dunn, CPA. She was a 4-H advisor in Warren County and Clermont County for a total of 35 years of service, and a member of the Ohio State 4-H Hall of Fame. Liz loved to spend time with her great-grandchildren and loved to travel. She had been in all 50 states, all of the Canadian Provinces, South Africa, Ireland, Germany and Switzerland. Liz volunteered with the United Methodist Women's Organization and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a big supporter of the veterans due to the fact that her husband and 5 of her 6 brothers served in the armed services. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Liz donated her body to the UC College of Medicine for research.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis Pursley and six brothers, Scott, Harold, Merrell, Edward, Lee, and Herbert Cowan.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Kathy) Pursley of Lebanon, her daughter, Linda Pursley of Cambridge, MA, her two sisters, Roberta Gates and Janet McDermott, three grandchildren, Amanda (Brian) Wilson, Sarah Fiebiger and Nathan Pursley and five great-grandchildren, Colton and Emily Wilson and Kinzie, Case and Oliver Fiebiger.
