SETTLEMIRE, Mildred Ann (nee: McKinney), 91, of Lebanon passed away

on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Born September 20, 1931 in Turtlecreek

Township, OH to John Eugene and Martha Anna (nee: Price) McKinney, she

was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School. Mildred was the first woman

to be hired as a Deputy Sheriff in Warren County. She proudly served her

community for more than 37 years before her retirement the first time in

1991 after 25 years, and then again in 2003 after 12 additional years. An avid

OSU Buckeye fan, she was a member of the Red Hat Club as well as the

GNO Club of which she was a founding member. Mildred loved to sew and

cook. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and

loved her kids, grandkids and great-grand kids unconditionally.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald R. Settlemire, her

brother, Raymond McKinney, and her sister, June Banta, she is survived by

her son, Doug (Cindy) Settlemire of Lebanon, her daughter, Donna (Roy

Kalblinger) Parson of Maryland Heights, MO, her two grandchildren, Julie

(Matthew) Coleman and Derek (Suzanne) Wilson, her great -grandchildren,

Robert, Tai, Tia, Matthew, Myiah, Merinne and Isaac.  She also leaves behind

her beloved cat, Miss Kitty and her dogs, Weezy and Bentley.

Visitation is Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM and again on

Monday, June 26, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Funeral service will

be held at 10:00 AM all at the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon.

Interment will follow at the Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville,

OH. Memorial donations are requested to the Warren County Humane

Association.
