KIRBY, Michael Wayne, 68, of Maineville passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Born June 29, 1955 in Dayton, OH to Charles Edison and Ethel (nee: Isaacs) Kirby, he was a 1974 graduate of Waynesville High School. A member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington, he was an avid woodworker and loved to spend time in his shop. Michael worked for 14 years at Otterbein but had retired from the Lebanon Correctional Institute in 2007 after 28 ½ years of service.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Monroe Kirby, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nichole (nee: Reece) Kirby, his daughter, Joanna Kirby (Bradley Carey) and his grandchildren, Madeline Bailey and Samuel Bailey.

Visitation, Monday, July 31, 2023 from 10-11 AM with a funeral service immediately following, all at the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon. Reverend Josh Dixon officiating. Interment follows in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason.
