Mary Elizabeth (nee: Bowles) Slone, 81, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Bethesda North Hospital. Born on March 18, 1941 to John Allen and Effie Pauline (nee: Glass) Bowles in Glasgow, KY, Mary was a devout Christian and was a member of Gideon's International. She was a graduate of Hiseville High School, and of Western Kentucky University with a major in English.  She went on to teach English at Hughes High School in Cincinnati and also in Trenton, New Jersey.  Once her children came along, she discontinued teaching to  devote her time caring for them.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, Bible study and spending time with her family.
