Marvin L.
Breese
Feb 14, 1929 — Jan 23, 2026
Maineville
Marvin L. Breese, 96, of Maineville, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 23, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Babe, his wife, Betty L. Breese (Kraft), his son, Mark L. Breese and his sister, Sylvia Valido. He is survived by his son, Timothy W. (Donna) Breese, his daughter-in-law, Karen Breese and his grandchildren, Jack and Karsen Breese along with several nieces and nephews.
He was born February 14, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio. He married his wife, Betty on September 2nd, 1950. He enlisted in the Navy in 1951 and served during the Korean conflict. After his service in the Navy he was recruited by the State Department and along with his wife and family, he served our nation traveling the world to many foreign countries. After retiring from the State Department he and Betty lived in Cincinnati, OH and later moved to Seattle, WA to be closer to their two grandchildren.
While there, he worked at the Seattle airport and found pleasure in talking to all the travelers that he came in contact with. After the passing of his wife Betty (2009) and his older son Mark (2011), he returned to Cincinnati to be close to his son Tim and daughter-in-law Donna. He lived in Maineville, Ohio and enjoyed a happy and peaceful life. He loved reading on his Kindle, especially western novels and enjoyed working on his computer and surfing the internet (he was very good at it for his age).
He will be missed but we are thankful that he lived a long life and was physically and mentally strong up until his passing.
At his request, no formal service will be held, and in lieu of flowers please plant a tree in his honor.
He loved doing that for relatives and friends that had passed on.
