Marlene Kay Barzda, 73 years old, of Lebanon, OH, passed away October 10, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1949 to John and Verona Barzda in Alliance, OH. She was a 1967 graduate of Marlington High and was a good student who liked competing in spelling bees. She enjoyed going to Idora Park, picnics at the beach in Lake Erie and family reunions. She liked caring for her cats and dogs and helping her mother with chores like ironing, cooking and sewing. She enjoyed music and funny sitcoms. She was previously employed by Murphy Mart as a cashier and also in newspaper distribution.

She is survived by sisters and caregiver Patricia (Ken) Semega, Susan Barzda, Karen (John) Bishop, Kathy (Tim) Hahn, Sandy (Darryl) DeLong and brothers, Steve (Debora) Barzda, Mike (Sandy) Barzda, Bill (Gail) Barzda, numerous nieces and nephews and her special caregiver and niece, Kitty Gamble.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeff Grosse .

Burial will be held Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Alliance City Cemetery in Alliance, OH. Pastor Brad Smith officiating.
