Obituary

DUERRE, Marianne (nee: Ossege), 59, of Lebanon, passed away at home on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born August 1, 1963 in Cincinnati, OH to Robert and Patricia (nee: Stegner) Ossege, she was a 1981 graduate of Seton High School. Marianne went on to attend the University of Dayton and graduated with her Bachelor's of Science degree in elementary/special education. She taught at Springboro City Schools for 28 years. Marianne attended Lebanon Presbyterian Church and was a longtime volunteer, and later employee, for Family Promise of Warren County.

Marianne was an avid reader, bird watcher, baker, gardener, crossword master, and tea enthusiast. She loved watching HGTV and the Bachelor, taking walks, and sitting on her deck.  Above all else, she adored spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite place in the world was the beach, which is where she requested her ashes be scattered someday. Marianne touched many lives, not only as a teacher, but in all aspects of her life through her kind and compassionate spirit. She always saw the good in others.

Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles Duerre, her two daughters and their husbands, Katy and Zak Geil of Amelia, OH and Molly and Josh Becker of Loveland, OH, her granddaughter, Eliza Becker, two brothers, Greg Ossege of Cincinnati, OH and Ted Ossege of Alexandria, KY, and three sisters, Pam Maue of Mason, OH, Sharon Gierginger of Harrison, OH and Julianne Ossege of Burlington, KY.

A memorial service and celebration of Marianne's life will take place at Lebanon Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, June 27. The visitation will begin at 10am, followed by the service at 11am and a lunch reception at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Family Promise of Warren County by visiting https://www.familypromisewarren.org/donate.
