Lulu M. (nee: Biggs) Bone, 99, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Mt Pleasant Retirement Village. Born on August 18, 1924 to Harold and Pearl (nee: Ross) Biggs in Knox County, OH. Lu was happily married to her high school sweetheart for sixty three years. She lived her life with strong faith, attending Grove Church of Christ and Utica Church of Christ, teaching from nursery to high school and Vacation Bible School. Her unwavering love for family and friends was evident. Lu's love of life was displayed through her many social activities and constant positivity. Upon graduating from Gambier High School in 1924 as Salutatorian, she worked at Kenyon College, Fischer and Jirouch, and The Miller Company. Her many talents included cake decorating, ceramics and sewing. She was an exceptional cook and baker. A gracious hostess, she was happiest entertaining family and friends. Lu was a member of the Fun Bunch Euchre Club for over 50 years. She shared hundreds of jars of homemade strawberry jam, homemade chocolates, chocolate chip cookies and mini pie tarts. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. Lu typed a message to be shared. "Thanks to all for making life such a joy. What a dynamic, loving and giving family. We have been overly blessed."

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles "Chuck" Bone, her son, Larry Bone, three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Wilson of Lebanon, her daughter-in-law, Hope Bone of Lebanon, four grandchildren, Rollin Bone, Scott (Nicole) Wilson, Brett Wilson and Kara (Nick) Roll, five great-grandchildren, Natalie Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Jude Wilson, Saige Wilson and Brooke Roll.
