Obituary

NIXON, Lornia Lynn (nee: Barnette), 76, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday December 17, 2020 at her residence. Born December 13, 1944 in Middletown, OH to Alton and Nina Mildred (nee: Manning) Barnette, she was a 1963 graduate of Monroe High School.  A dedicated wife and mother, she was always active with her kids activities. A member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church, she was involved with many area groups including the Daughters of the Revolution and the Warren County Women's Charitable Organization, which raised money for the Warren County Humane Association, Woman's Rape and Abuse Shelter, Midwest Children's Home and Warren County Drug Task Force. Also active in 4 H, she was an enthusiastic animal lover.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Corwin Keith Nixon, Sr and her daughter, Tina Maria Nixon Meranda, she is survived by her son, Corwin Keith (Kerry) Nixon of Lebanon, her daughter, Melissa Nixon Miller of Lebanon and seven grandchildren, Preston Meranda, Austin Meranda, Eleanor Nixon, Corwin K. Nixon III, Cameron Nixon, Kaelynn Miller and Ainsley Miller.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic,   the family is having a graveside service on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:30 AM at the Lebanon Cemetery. Reverend Steve Cramer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Warren County Humane Society, PO Box 313, Lebanon, OH 45o36. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
