Leonard Ealy

Leonard Douglas Ealy, 77, formerly of Morrow, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Bethesda North Hospital.

Born September 24, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Leonard was the son of Anthony and Lucy (née Wilson) Ealy. He was a 1969 graduate of Little Miami High School.

Leonard was a dedicated and familiar presence in the community, serving for many years as a member of the Little Miami Friday Night chain gang. In recognition of his commitment and service, he was honored by the LM Athletic Boosters Club in 1985.

An avid animal lover, Leonard built a life around caring for animals. He worked as a stable master for several area horse farms, including Happy Time Farms and Frisch’s Farm, and in later years continued his work caring for dog kennels. His compassion and connection with animals were evident to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Silas “Tiny” Ealy.

A graveside committal of his ashes will take place at Morrow Cemetery on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
