BRANDENBURG, Larry Dale, 70, of Morrow, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Born June 19, 1950 in Oneida, KY to Jack and Pearl Katherine (nee: Lackey) Brandenburg, he was a 1968 graduate of Kings Mills High School. Larry retired from General Motors after 30 years as a Consumer Coordinator. He also taught and the Warren County Career Center and at Johnstone as an HVAC instructor. He was the Township Clerk for Union Township and the Village Administrator for South Lebanon for many years and also was a member of the Warren County Zoning Board. An active member of the First Baptist Church in South Lebanon, he was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. A Kentucky Colonel, he enjoyed fishing and using his metal detector to search for treasure. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ella Peters. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Shirley (nee: McGuffey) Brandenburg, two sons, Larry Scott (wife Jami) Brandenburg of Lawrenceburg, IN and James Brian (wife Lauren) Brandenburg of Franklin, TN, one sister, Brenda (husband Tommy) Marshall of South Lebanon, one brother in law, Wayne Peters of Lebanon, and five grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Kensington, Jackson, and Adam. Visitation, Saturday December 19, 2020 from 11 AM until 1 PM with a funeral service following at 1 PM , all at the First Baptist Church in South Lebanon. Reverend Dave Frasure officiating. Interment follows in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon. Memorials requested to the church's building fund. Arrangements by the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
