Beverly "Joyce" (nee: Ewald) Mitchell, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her residence at Otterbein in Lebanon, OH. She was born May 10, 1936 in Toledo, OH to George and Bertha (nee: Wrede) Ewald. Joyce received her degree in Education and taught at Walnut Hills High School.  She left teaching in 1969 to make a home for herself; her husband Bill, various horses, dogs and cats, eventually at their farm, Little Eden.  She spent her time training horses in stables throughout Ohio and was active in various churches.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertha (nee: Wrede) Ewald, and her husband William W. Mitchell, Jr, her sister-in-law and best friend, Jane Templeton Mitchell and her mother-in-law Mabel Pogue Mitchell.   She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her cousins Mary and Trinity.

Arrangements made by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.  Her remains will be buried at the Pines Pet Cemetery Lebanon, with her beloved horses, dogs and cats.  The funeral will be private.
