BYRD, Joyce (nee: Lawless), 88, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at The Winfield of Middletown, Ohio. Born December 8, 1933 in  Wolfe County, KY to James Paul and Evalena (nee: Carroll) Lawless, she was a 1951 graduate of Wolfe County High School. A longtime member of the Campton United Methodist Church, Campton, KY, she retired from the Franklin City Schools in 1986 after 19 years of service to the district. She was a loving and devoted Godly wife, mother and grandmother.  An inspiration to all, her positive spirit and tremendous faith were felt by everyone who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred Byrd, her brother, James Paul Lawless II and her sister, Betty Louise Cunningham. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (Keith) Eve of Liberty Township and Leslie (Jim) Sibcy of Lebanon, her grandchildren Lindsey Sibcy, Whitney (Randy) Trammel, Brent Eve and her great granddaughter, Sloane Trammel, and two sisters in law, Lois Byrd Kash and Mary Thelma Catron Lawless.

Visitation, Friday March 4, 2022 from 11 AM until 12 Noon with the funeral immediately following, all at the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Reverend Doug Sibcy officiating. Interment follows in Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial donations requested to the Hospice Care of Middletown, 4418 Lewis St Suite B, Middletown, OH 45044-6183. The family has requested that masks be worn during the visitation and service.
