WALTERS, Joseph George, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born on September 27, 1935 to Joseph and Hazel (nee: Farrer) Walters in Logansport, IN, Joe worked in Housekeeping Management and was active with the United Methodist Church, where he was a former Youth Counselor and lay minister. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping and traveling. Birdwatching and photography were hobbies of his, and spending time with his family brought him much joy. He was known for his sense of humor and outstanding character and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Ellen (nee: Hitchcock) Walters, he is survived by his two sons, Scott (Lesly) Walters of Forest Park, Steve (Wendy) Walters of Fairfield, one daughter, Cindy (Brad) Nixon of Cincinnati, one sister, Sally (Keith) Hall and five grandchildren - Nicole, Aaron, Jacob, Cammie, and Joshua .

A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Otterbein Chapel in Lebanon. Inurnment will take place in Otterbein Cemetery. Arrangements made by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.hoskinfh.com .
