BURRIS, John "Scott", age 69, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Born on June 26, 1956, in El Segundo, California, to John Avery Burris and Pearl (née Daugherty) Thompson, Scott worked for many years as a real estate agent and owned several rental properties. Scott taught school for ten years prior to developing his real estate business.

A proud member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge, Scott was truly a "people person." He found great joy in getting to know others and sharing good conversation wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Jack Thompson. Scott is survived by his loving wife, Jackie (née Campbell) Burris; his son, Adam (Kari) Burris of Lebanon; his brother, Mark (Ronda Cox) Burris; his stepsister, Stacy (Ron) Patton; and his cherished grandchildren, Blake and Bryce Burris.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon, where the funeral service will follow on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Pastor Steve Tufts officiating.  Interment will take place at Lebanon Cemetery.
