Abbott, John R., 97, of Morrow passed away on Saturday December 12, 2020 at his residence. Born April 11, 1923 in Rarden, OH to Minor Edward and Anna Eva (nee: Wilson) Abbott, John was US Army WWII veteran. He retired from Mobile Oil Company in 1984 after 29 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Ruth (nee: Gardner) Abbott, his daughter, Cynthia Abbott, sisters, Jessie Abbott and Monta Tardiff, he is survived by his two sons, Dan (Sheila) Abbott of Maineville and David (Kathy) Abbott of Lebanon, his daughter, Julia Abbott of Morrow, his sister Velma Abbott, grandchildren, Cyndi Gaffney, Michelle Abbott, Carolyn Abbott and Leslie Abbott. A private graveside service will be held at the Morrow Cemetery. Pastor Steve Myers officiating Arrangements by the Vale Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow.
