Obituary

Jean (nee: Patterson) Lewis, 90, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Otterbein in Lebanon. Born on August 22, 1934 to Irving and Grace (nee: Watt) Patterson in Quincy, MA.

Jean met the love of her life, Bill Lewis on a blind date and they were married a year later.  She was devoted to her family, loved to entertain and be involved in her community. Jean made life special in countless ways for everyone around her.

Loving her Savior Jesus Christ led Jean to be deeply involved in her church, Sharonville Presbyterian and later Holtsinger Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Ever nurturing and servant-hearted, she spent over 30 years using her gifts as a registered nurse. Jean also volunteered on the Sharonville Board of Health.

Jean embraced life at Otterbein Senior Life in Lebanon. She regularly volunteered as a shuttle driver and led daily devotions through the campus television network.  She always welcomed new neighbors and helped those in need.

Preceded in death by her parents, step father, Henry Jepson and brother, John Patterson. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, William Lewis, daughter, Rebecca (Bradley) Barnes of Bloomington, IL, son, Bradley (Katrina) Lewis of Fuquay Varina, NC, five grandchildren, Abigail (Mitchell) Wallin, Ethan (Macey) Barnes, Clayton (Kelly) Lewis, Kelsey (Kolin) McKelvey and Dustin Lewis, three great-grandchildren, Isla Wallin, Brooks Wallin, Brady Barnes and one great-granddaughter on the way to be middle named Jean in her honor.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Jean's green thumb, please plant and enjoy a geranium this summer. Red was her favorite.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Otterbein Lebanon Chapel.
