Born August 14, 1937, in Middletown, Ohio, Janice was the daughter of Wilbur and Mamie Louise (née Robberson) Singleton and a proud 1955 graduate and cheerleader of Lebanon High School.

Janice dedicated her professional life to aerospace technology, serving the United States Government for more than 40 years. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, word games and crossword puzzles, and most of all spending time at her grandchildren's sporting events.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William Robert Strickland; her second husband, Gary Jones; her son, Shawn (Fe) Strickland; her brother, Ronnie Singleton; and her sisters Esther Moore, Margaret Kimberlin, Bernice Roggerson, and Doris Calloway.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Kevin (Ramona) Strickland, William Strickland, Lynnea Patrice Strickland, and Denah Strickland. She also leaves behind a large and devoted family, including 14 grandchildren: Ericca Fike, Elainna Kimble, Jason (Juli) Strickland, Laurin (Paul) Young, Brittney (Jeriel) Bishop, Kayli (Chris) Wilkins, Keauna Strickland, Jade Strickland, Xavier Strickland, Misti Alsop, JR (Laura) Black, Ashtin Romesberg, Shane Strickland, and Dexter (Mae) Strickland; 29 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, with the funeral service immediately following, all at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
