TAGGART, James Joseph: Born to Daniel S. Taggart and Clara E. (nee: Doker) Taggart in Cincinnati, October 11, 1928. Died in Lebanon, Ohio September 8, 2022. Preceded in death by his brother, Daniel G. Taggart, sister-in-law, Dorothy A. (nee: Smith) Taggart, sister, Betty Schneider and brother-in-law, Howard "Duke" Schneider. Survived by nieces, Debbie Benedict (Ron), Patricia Tagggart, Janis Heidel (Keith), Nancy Schneider and Vicki Sylverster (Bill) and by nephews, Dan Schneider (Lynn), Tim Schneider (Becky) and Todd Schneider (Kara), Also several grand nieces and grand nephews.

Graduated from Purcell High School and Xavier University. Jim grew up in Mt. Adams and lived most of his adult life in Delhi (Our Lady of Victory Parish). He was a long time employee of the US Postal Service and later of Hader and McCabe Hardware stores. He was an avid follower of the local sports teams, especially the Reds, Bengals, and Musketeers as well as Notre Dame.

Jim was a devout Catholic, a humble and unusually charitable man. Following a private service at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon, Jim was laid to rest beside his parents in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
