Obituary

Jack Wetzig, 90, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home. Born on September 22, 1934 to John and Princess (nee: Klinger) Wetzig in Ashtabula County, OH. Jack was a carpenter by trade and he loved feeding the birds and squirrels. He handed out hundreds of American flags to family, friends, businesses and strangers in Warren County. He always made a daily stop at the Donut Shop for coffee with his lifelong friend, Ellis, until their health would no longer allow them to visit there together. They were better known around town as "Chet & Chester". He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell.

Preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 49 years, Ida Wetzig. He is survived by his two sons, Rick Connors and John Wetzig, three daughters, Pam Smith, Julie Wetzig and Gwynn Wetzig, 7 grandchildren, Jamie, Joe, Samantha, Josh, Madison, Makailee, Megan, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, one sister, Kathy Gray and one brother, Jim Wetzig.

Visitation, Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with a funeral at 11:00 AM, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Blaine Bowman officiating.  Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery
