Jack Edwin
Everitt
Oct 8, 1948 — Feb 7, 2024
EVERITT, Jack Edwin, 75, of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. Born October 8, 1948 in Wilmington, OH to Herret and Elizabeth (Lambcke) Everitt, he was a Postal Supervisor for the United States Post Office, retiring after 35 years. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Richardson, he is survived by his wife, Judith (Tullis) Everitt, his daughters, Joey (Jon) Hansted of Maineville and Jill (Steven) Reynolds of Woodbine, MD, his four grandchildren, Caroline and Alex Hansted and Hope and Finn Reynolds, his brother, Gary Everitt and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He grew up in Lebanon and was a 1967 graduate of Lebanon High School.
He was an obsessive golfer, an accomplished woodworker, a self-taught sailor (which worked well most of the time), and a devoted Ohio State football fan. He and Judy were married for 56 years and over the course of their years together restored five old houses doing all of the work themselves, traveled the country in their RV, had decades of summer family vacations at the NC Outer Banks (sunburning the tops of his feet every year) and loved spending Februarys on the Gulf Coast. At retirement they moved to his beloved grandparents' farm outside of Clarksville where his favorite childhood memories were following Pop around the farm.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who always worked hard for his family but also made time for lots of fun including playing a lot of games, especially euchre. And his John Travolta dance moves were legendary.
