Ikie Gilbert, Age 81, of Lebanon Ohio, peacefully passed away May 6th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7th 1940 in Jackson, Kentucky. He was a loving husband, father, and papaw. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and woodworking. After 30 + years in the excavation industry he finally retired at age 62 where he then spent his time with his loving family, in the outdoors and doing things that he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents Noah and Dora (Johnson) Gilbert, his five brothers, Arlie, Willis, Noah Jr., Eugene and Lonzo; and his two sisters, Hazel Helton, and Elvira Bearden. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kimberly Gilbert, his children, Tina Lee, Thomisa Murphy and her husband Gary, Ike Jr Gilbert and his wife Marsilla,  Phil Gilbert and his wife Becky, as well as Ashley McClain and her husband Rocky.  Ike had nine grandchildren, Jonathan Campbell, Micheal Murphy, Austin Murphy, Amelia Baldwin, Jacob Gilbert, Ethan Gilbert, John McClain, Madison McClain, and Declan McClain. Three great grandchildren; John Lucian Murphy, Henry Murphy, and Scarlet Baldwin. He is also survived by his two sisters, Ida Lamb and Judy Butler as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his two special friends Karen Molter, and Dawn Blevins with Interim Healthcare Hospice for the exceptional care they have given Ike over the past several months.

Visitation, Monday, May 9, 2022 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Anchor of Hope Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the church.
